Free CD to hit the ANC streets soon!
community.adn.com | push play: “This CD project doesn’t have a name, but that’s all it doesn’t have. This bad boy is packed with 17 songs from some of Anchorage’s most popular, talented and intriguing artists: Delmag, The Whipsaws, Jared Woods, Conversing With Zookeepers, and Eu Vusahm, among others. The big guns. The singer-songwriters. The up-and-comers. They’re all accounted for, as well as a few unreleased songs and a little hip-hop.”

We done been reviewed! Check it out:
“I have to admit that Alaska isn’t on my mind often. I think most of us in the lower 48 can plead guilty to that.
That there is great music from Alaska would never cross my mind.
Well, I am pleased to announce that a bright spanking new podcast has already taught me how much I have been missing. Alaska Rocks!”
Thanks, Al, you da MAN. It’s cool stuff like this that just keeps me wanting to do more. Go see Al.
Al found us via Insomnia Radio, an inspiration for the anc, if there ever was one. ![]()

Local ANC Band Goodness!
Clubhouse - Locomotive Breath - theclubhouseband.chatcats.com
Ben Linford - Song For John (Right Now) - Ben Linford on GarageBand.com
Ann Pence - Deep & Blue - Ann Pence on GarageBand.com
Driveline - Caught - Driveline on garageband.com
IF you are one of the artists above and you don’t want me to put your songs out on the podcast, you shouldn’t put them up on GarageBand.com! Serisously, though, I’m guessing they all want their songs “out there” as much as possible. I know I did when I was playing in a band. Way long ago. Back before I was old…crap…
Anyway, let me know if you dig the show…theancpodcast@gmail.com
Rock on!

Not sure whether I’m gonna call this The ANC, The ANC Podcast, or just ANC Podcast. You let me know which one rocks teh hardest.
Big thanks to Damion Vigil, over at the akpodcast The man is cool, and that’s the high praise.Give his show a listen. The latest one I have is all about chill music. My kids and i loved it during dinner tonight.
OH, and you pronounce it “Ay-Enn-See.” Like it’s spelled. Not ankh, nor ank.
Got it?

PS I hope to have the first episode up soon. I got me a local band’s live music to play, plus something from garageband.com.
